How to Increase your first 1000 followers on Instagram
Do you want to know how to get your first 1000 Instagram followers?
Then you have come to the correct place.
In this post, I will give you my best tips that helped me reach 1000 Instagram followers.
And show him that YOU can too!
I have no trick or secret (sorry to disappoint you) that will lead you to 1000 Instagram followers in 24 hours or so.
Because it is not like that.
I'm sorry to tell you, but if you want to grow your Instagram account, you will have to put in the work.
Growing your account takes time and dedication.
Are you ready to do a job and reach your first 1k followers
on Instagram?
Yes?
So let's start!
How to get your first 1k followers on Instagram
Post good quality photos
First things first, if you want to get more followers on Instagram, you NEED to post good quality images.
Yes, this is very obvious and you've probably heard it 100,000 times before, but I needed to mention it.
Because, while it's SO obvious, people often forget and ignore it ...
Instagram is a VISUAL platform!
The photos you post are the main reason people will follow you.
People follow people because they like their content.
It's as simple as that!
(unless it's your friend or a celebrity, but still, you follow them because you like it and want to see what they post)
So before you go and apply ANY of the other tips, work on their content.
Look at your content and see where you can improve, how you can improve it.
Create content to share:
Speaking of content, you don't want to create random content that only interests you.
If you want to get more followers and more people to find you, you need to create content that can be shared.
Create content where people find value and want to share.
It can be content that inspires people, teaches them something, makes them laugh, etc.
Think about your target audience and why they come to your account.
What kind of value can you offer them?
And then create content FOR them (not for you!)
Create content that your followers are most interested in.
And how do you know what that is?
By looking at your knowledge of Instagram or other analytics tools.
Pay attention to your ideas to see which posts get the most engagement (especially ones that are
shared and saved!) And create more similar content.
Sharing your posts is one of the best ways to introduce yourself to more people and gain new followers.
When someone shares one of your posts, their followers see it and they can visit your account and decide to follow you.
Be consistent:
If your content is great but you are posting leap year, people will not follow.
Or if they do, they will soon stop following when they realize that they haven't posted anything in months.
Another reason you should be consistent is because of the Instagram algorithm.
(I have a full post about the Instagram algorithm and how it works, you can check it HERE if you want to learn more about it and how to overcome it)
Instagram loves when you show up and spend time on the app, you post contentt
The algorithm loves and rewards consistency.
How often should I post?
Okay, I have to be consistent, but what does that mean? How often should I post?
Well, there is no "correct" answer.
The truth is that it is different for everyone.
Some people post multiple times a day, while others post twice a week.
Just try different things out and see what works well for you.
The most important thing is to find a schedule that you can follow long-term.
But what would I say post AT LEAST once a week
Use hashtags to get noticed on Instagram:
Do you think you can randomly add some hashtags to your captions and magically get hundreds of likes and followers?
Sorry to tell you, but that's not how things work.
You must research and find the best possible hashtags for you.
Don't worry, it's not as complicated as it sounds.
This is how you can find hashtags to use:
- go explore the page and type a general hashtag (in your niche) and click on it, at the top of the page you will see some related hashtags you can use
- or go to the profile of someone posting similar content to yours and see what hashtags you use
Now that you have found a hashtag that you could use, you need to see if it would work for you.
To do this, look at the main posts on that hashtag and see:
- The kind of photos that are at the top
- How many I like the main publications
- How many comments do you have
If you post similar content and the amount of likes/comments you get on your posts is similar to theirs, you have a chance to be on top posts.
That is the type of hashtag you should use.
Use hashtags where your posts get a chance to be seen by the RIGHT people.
That's why I told him to search for hashtags in his niche, also known as hashtags, that are related to the content he posts.
Create a hashtag library
To make things quicker and easier for you, create a hashtag library of all the hashtags you can use in your posts.
The best place to do this is in your notes app so you can easily copy and paste them when posting a new photo.
One thing I should point out is to NOT use the same hashtags over and over again.
Change your hashtags since Instagram does not like it when you use them in each image.
Tag brands
Another thing that could help you get more followers is being forwarded by a brand.
So always tag brands in your posts, be it the clothes you wear or the food you eat, tag the brand.
(don't forget InstaStories too, tag the marks there too)
Since you never know what can happen.
Being resent by a brand is a great way to expose yourself to many new people.
Some of those people may like your photo and decide to follow you.
Interact with people in your niche:
You need to give to receive.
Which means that you should follow other people who post content similar to you, like your posts, leave comments.
Contract.
Instagram is a social network after all.
Take time every day (at least 10 minutes) to interact with other people.
You can find people by searching one of the hashtags you used on your posts, and then just spend a few minutes reviewing the hashtag and participating in the posts you like.
When leaving feedback, please leave genuine and meaningful feedback.
Read the caption, think about what you are going to write.
Not just comment on "nice picture" or worse an emoji?
Actually
take the time and write a real comment.
Promote your Instagram on other platforms
Another great way to put your Instagram in front of more people is to promote it on other platforms.
You can share your photos on Pinterest. And when people see your photo on Pinterest and click on it, it will be taken to your Instagram account. (I have lots of useful Pinterest posts that can help you put your photos in front of more people)
If you have a YouTube channel, put your Instagram URL in your video descriptions and mention your username in your videos. Encourage your subscribers to follow him on Instagram.
Or if you have a blog, put your Instagram link in your sidebar and mention it in your posts.
You can also promote your Instagram profile on Twitter. Add your Instagram link to your Twitter bio. And use a tool like IFTTT to automatically post your Instagram posts to Twitter.
Track your progress
And finally, don't forget to track your progress.
Pay attention to your reviews to see what works and what doesn't.
What time of day do your posts get the most engagement? What kind of photos work best? Which hashtags work best for you?
Knowing these things can help you reach 1,000 Instagram followers much faster and help you understand your current audience.
How do I track my progress?
You can follow your progress with
- Instagram insights
- or use an analysis tool
Instagram insights
To access Instagram ideas, you must have a business account.
To convert your personal account into a company, go to your profile> settings> account> switch to a business account. With a business account, you have access to Instagram ideas where you can see how many impressions/likes/comments all of your posts and stories had, see how many profile visits or website clicks you had. You can find out where your followers are from, how old they are, and much more
You can also go to each photo you've posted and view specific information for that post and see how many saved and shared you got, how many people actually saw your photo, and how they found it.
And many other useful things.
In the screenshot, you can see what Instagram ideas look like for a specific post.
Use an analysis tool
Another great way to track your progress on Instagram is to use an analytics tool. There are many tools and applications, but my favorite is the preview application.
The preview app is actually a feed scheduler (I would totally recommend it to schedule your feed by the way) but it also has an amazing analytics feature.
You can find out how engaged your audience is, what are the best times to post, what are your top posts, and more.
What I like most about the preview app is its hashtag tools.
You can search for hashtags by category or country and then simply add them to the hashtag groups.
You can also see which are your best performing hashtags, which ones you liked the most, comments, etc., which is SO useful!
I always check my hashtag reviews when I create a new post to see which ones would be best for that photo!
If you really want to improve your hashtag game, I would definitely recommend downloading the preview app, as its hashtag tools will help you a lot.
Furthermore,
all the other features are also very useful
